"In small niches and sometimes forgotten corners lie stories- stories of little planters in the balcony, of laughters shared in the subways, of conversations at the bhakda, a gaze exchanged in a BEST bus, the walk beneath the arcade, the office break over chai, the gyaan of a rickshaw ride... Would these be a history of the city- the city we live, the city we know?
‘A city and its Memories’ is a series of art projects concerning personal narratives in a larger collective memory. The project was concieved by a group of young students, who wanted to react to the fact that the city does not value its memories. Here we attempt to make an archive of stories, of the city 'we' live. Thus a collective diary!!!!! The crabmasala proudly hosts Collective Diaries as a space open for everyone interested in being a part of this act of 'collecting' and become a part of the crabmasala!
All are free to contribute to the diary. Also all of us are free to introduce a new concept for 'collecting'. All you need is to register and get kickstarted! Crabmasala initiates the diaries with the stories of My Everyday
The contributions go to the 'Collective Diary' page. Add your story here. The new ideas can be posted on the 'Whats New?' and contributions to the same will begin in the 'Collective Diary'. Please use the Conversation space for posting questions, ideas, etc related with crabmasala."
